The 2025 SEC season is shaping up to be one of the most competitive quarterback showdowns in recent memory. With elite talent returning, rising stars emerging, and high-profile transfers finding new homes, the quarterback position is more loaded than ever. There's a world where the top four SEC quarterbacks could also be the top four in the nation following the season.
Today, we're going to be predicting where every SEC quarterback is going to be ranked at the end of the 2025 season.
1. Arch Manning - Texas
2. Garrett Nussmeier - LSU
3. LaNorris Sellers - South Carolina
4. D.J. Lagway - Florida
5. John Mateer - Oklahoma
6. Taylen Green - Arkansas
7. Austin Simmons - Ole Miss
8. Diego Pavia - Vanderbilt
9. Marcel Reed - Texas A&M
10. Gunner Stockton - Georgia
11. Jackson Arnold - Auburn
12. Ty Simpson - Alabama
13. Beau Pribula - Missouri
14. Joey Aguilar - Tennessee
15. Zach Calzada - Kentucky
16. Blake Shapen - Mississippi State
I believe the first four guys on this list could be interchangeable, but Arch Manning is obviously a player who hasn't shown a lot so far. He demolished G5 teams in 2024 and put up an excellent performance against Mississippi State, but it's going to be interesting to see how he performs against some of the league's top defenses in 2025.
With a receiving core of Ryan Wingo, DeAndre Moore, Emmett Mosley V, Parker Livingstone, and Jack Endries, Manning could have an insanely productive season. He also has a backfield with two Doak Walker Award watch listers in it, which is more than any other quarterback in the nation can say.
The only way that Garrett Nussmeier could climb to No.1 on this list is if he has a historically good passing year, which could definitely happen. He also has an excellent group of pass-catchers and running backs around him, as well as one of the best offensive coordinators in the game.
