Opinions on Arch Manning are like....well you know, and everybody's got one.
Today's opinion comes from Eddie Radovesich, who is part of the On3/Rivals team with SoonerScoop, and he also hosts a morning show based around Oklahoma sports. So you already know Arch probably lives rent-free in his head.
Anyway, Radovesich was a guest on That SEC Podcast and offered up the following hot take:
"There will be a point this year that the internet is abuzz & people out of Austin are wondering if they should bench Arch Manning,"
The award for boldest take at SEC Media Days goes to @Eddie_Rado!

That's certainly an opinion, and, in Radosevich's defense, he probably wasn't being completely serious. But we can read into it however we want. Would the people out of Austin want Manning benched because he had a bad game? Or would they want him benched because he's not playing well in general? Or is Radovesich saying that there's no way Manning can meet the expectations?
The point is that this is something Longhorn fans will have to deal with every single week. Arch Manning is THE story in college football this year. All eyes are on him. No one in college football faces more expectations and more pressure than him.
Its going to be hilarious watching the narrative around Arch Manning flip from being overrated and overhyped in the preseason to he is being carried by the talent around him around the middle of the season when his numbers are lining up with the hype.

The bottom line: if you haven't gotten used to it by now, you will soon enough. Arch Manning is going to be the topic of the pre-game show, the post-game show, the halftime show, the day-after-the games show and the mid-week shows. Every production needs a star and the Texas quarterback is him.
Arch Manning has been prepared since day one
Texas quarterbacks coach A.J. MIlwee has no concerns about Arch Manning being ready for the season opener against Ohio State. Milwee said that Manning has been preparing for this role since he stepped on campus, and he'll be ready to take on the Buckeyes on August 30.
Milwee goes on to explain Arch's ability to take extensive notes during meetings, something he learned from his uncle Peyton, and the focus he shows in game-week preparation whether he was the starter or not.

"This kid has prepared himself like he has been a starter, whether he's started or not, for the last two years.," Milwee said of Manning. "He has put himself in a position to be ready to play that game when the time comes."
