The Texas Longhorns will not be denied. As the Texas baseball and softball teams roll through their first season in the SEC, the Longhorns' winning ways have not been slowed.

Most recently, the baseball team hosted the Auburn Tigers as the softball team hosted the LSU Tigers right across the street. After the weekend came to a close, both Horns programs walked away victorious.

No. 1 Texas baseball sweeps No. 8 Auburn

After a slow start in the first game, the Horns rallied to earn a 3-2 victory over the Tigers in the at-home matchup.

The most notable moment from the game was when senior pitcher Jared Spencer left the game after just 2.2 innings. Head coach Jim Schlossnagle provided a promising update on Spencer following the game, calming the fears of Longhorn Nation.

Over the next two games, Texas outscored Auburn 22-5 as the Horns secured the series sweep over their conference opponent, improving their overall record to a resounding 33-5.

Texas will visit the Texas State Bobcats for a midweek game before hosting its rivals, the Texas A&M Aggies, in a three-game series in Austin.

No. 3 Texas softball defeats No. 9 LSU

While the Texas softball team didn't walk away with a sweep this weekend, the Longhorns more than earned their victory over the LSU Tigers. In the first matchup of the series, the Horns earned a dramatic 7-3 victory over the Tigers before LSU secured a dominant 6-1 win in the second game.

With the series on the line, Texas and LSU went down to the wire as third baseman Mia Scott hit a walk-off single to bring center fielder Kayden Henry home and earn the 6-5 victory.

The Horns improved to 41-6 overall and 13-5 in conference play with the win over the Tigers. No. 3 Texas will play the No. 21 Oklahoma State Cowboys in a midweek game before visiting the No. 2 Oklahoma Sooners for a three-game series.
