The Texas women's basketball team is just days away from tipping off its second consecutive NCAA Tournament berth as one of the No. 1 seeds in the country. Before their postseason campaign continued in the Big Dance, three Longhorns earned AP All-American honors.
Sophomore forward Madison Booker, senior guard Rori Harmon, and senior center Taylor Jones were all listed in the latest AP All-American honors.
Madison Booker, AP All-American First Team
- 16.2 points per game
- 6.6 rebounds per game
- 2.8 assists per game
- 1.6 steals per game
After stepping into the point guard role last season due to Harmon's season-ending ACL injury, Booker has returned to more of a true-forward role. She has led the Longhorns in scoring this season with 16.2 points per game (534 total points).
Rori Harmon, AP All-American Honorable Mention
- 9.4 points per game
- 5.9 assists per game
- 3.5 rebounds per game
- 2.2 steals per game
Heading into the NCAA Tournament, Harmon currently leads Texas in both assists (202 total) and steals (75 total). However, her shooting took a step back as the point guard worked to find her footing as she returned from her ACL tear and subsequent surgery.
Taylor Jones, AP All-American Honorable Mention
- 12.1 points per game
- 7.0 rebounds per game
- 1.8 blocks per game
- 0.9 steals per game
Jones is one of the more veteran players on the Texas roster, transferring to play with the Horns in 2022 after spending three years with the Oregon State Beavers. She currently leads the Longhorns in rebounds (230 total) and blocks (60 total).
