Anthony Hill Jr. just announced via social media that he's officially leaving Texas and entering the 2026 NFL Draft.
This shouldn't really come as a surprise to most, as he's been trending towards making the leap following the 2025 season for a while now. He continues to be seen as one of the top off-ball linebackers in the 2026 class due to his instincts and athleticism.
At 6'3", 238 lbs., he has more than enough size to be a true MIKE at the NFL level, and his processing speed is what sets him apart from other players at the position right now. He was the heart and soul of Texas' defense over the past three seasons and now he'll have a chance to take his leadership and skillset to the next level.
LB Anthony Hill Jr. is headed to the 2026 NFL Draft. What a three years it was for the former Denton Ryan Raider:

His overall PFF Grade of 73.6 puts him in the top 30% of all collegiate linebackers in 2025, and that number continued to rise each week after he returned from his injury this year.
Hill Jr. finished the 2025 regular season with:
- 69 tackles
- 7 TFL
- 4 sacks
- 2 interceptions
- 1 pass deflection
- 3 forced fumbles
- 1 fumble recovery
His ability to be an asset against both the run and pass currently have NFL teams salivating, and he should impress in pre-draft testing as well. He was pretty raw in a couple of areas leading up to the 2025 season, but he seemingly improved on those things throughout his 10 games played this year.
According to NFLmockdraftdatabase.com, he's currently ranked as the 4th linebacker in the 2026 class behind Ohio State's Arvell Reese and Sonny Styles, and Georgia's C.J. Allen.
