Tight end/athlete
Michael Terry III, San Antonio (TX) Alamo Heights 5-Star
We don't exactly know which position five-star athlete Terry will play at Texas yet on the offensive side of the ball. But we do know his first crack at a position at Texas next year in camp will be at receiver or tight end.
Terry is a freakish athlete who can play multiple position groups on each side of the ball at the collegiate level. Sarkisian has a multitude of different ways he'll be able to utilize Terry's physical gifts and versatility in his offense.
Nick Townsend, Spring (TX) Dekaney 4-Star
Landing the uber-athletic high-four-star Spring (TX) Dekaney tight end Nick Townsend over Texas A&M and Alabma was one of the most important recruiting wins on the offensive side of the ball for the Longhorns in the 2025 class. Townsend is one of the most athletic skill signees in this recruiting class for the Longhorns.
At 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, Townsend has the size, speed, route running ability, and large catch radius necessary to be an early-impact receiving tight end for the Longhorns on offense. In a few years, we could look back at the signing of Townsend and say that he was one of the best tight end signees Texas had in the past couple of decades.
Emaree Winston, Calhoun (GA) 4-Star
Georgia native four-star Emaree Winston has been committed to the Longhorns the longest of all the tight end commitments for Texas in the 2025 class. Winston is a polished receiving tight end and a good blocker.
It's hard to say that Jeff Banks and the Longhorns did anything else but get exactly what they needed to sign in the 2025 class at the tight end position.
