Defensive line

Josiah Sharma, Folsom (CA) 4-Star

California native four-star Josiah Sharma was one of the top targets that the Longhorns signed at a premier position of need in the 2025 class at defensive tackle. At 6-foot-4 and 325-pounds, Sharma has the size, strength, and athleticism to be the next great defensive tackle Kenny Baker, Pete Kwiatkowski, and the Longhorns.

Sharma already has the frame and strength necessary to compete in the trenches at a high level against power conference competition for Texas in the trenches along the defensive line. He will be an instant impact player for the Longhorns along the defensive line next year.

Myron Charles, Port Charlotte (FL) 4-Star

Florida four-star Myron Charles was the first signing of the Early National Signing Day on Dec. 4 for the Longhorns in the 2025 class. Texas fended off a big late push for Charles' recruitment from the Gators to get him signed in this cycle on Wednesday morning.

Charles will be a staple at three-tech along Texas's defensive line for multiple years in the future. Texas needed to be getting these types of talented, big, and overall athletic defensive tackles to keep the numbers and top rotation looking good in the SEC heading into the future.
