Seven official visitors were on campus for Texas football during the first big 2025 visit weekend of the summer from June 7-9. Last weekend saw the smallest group of official visitors among the three big visit weekends for Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian this summer.

Texas football has a successful first big June official visit weekend

Texas was originally scheduled to host six official visitors last weekend, most among prospects on the defensive side of the ball in the 2025 class. But a late addition to the official visitor list in four-star Spring (TX) Dekaney wide receiver Tanook Hines took Texas over the mark of a half-dozen visitors.

Sarkisian and staff didn't haul in any commitments in the 2025 class over the weekend. But it sounds like the Longhorns made big impressions on multiple visiting recruits at key positions on defense during the festivities on campus in the last few days.

It's fair to say that the Longhorns have at least a coin flip's chance to land a few of the official visitors who made it to Austin over the weekend. I would imagine that at least one or two of the early-June official visitors for the Longhorns wind up in this 2025 class by signing day in December.

Depending on the decision timelines for some of these guys who officially visited last weekend, Texas could get their first commitments at a couple of different position groups in the near future.

Here's a look at two key official visitors from last weekend in the 2025 class trending to the Longhorns.
