2 elite 2025 recruits Texas is trending for this weekend
Texas football recruiting is trending very positively in the 2025 class this fall on the trail. Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian hold commitments from 20 recruits in the 2025 class, and are well within striking distance of a fourth straight top-five-ranked class nationally in the 247Sports Composite a few months out from signing day in early December.
Which elite recruit will jump in the class of 2025 for Texas football next on the trail this fall?
The Longhorns have already flipped some top blue-chip targets at key positions on the recruiting trail in the 2025 class in the last couple of months. Since late July, Texas flipped four-star defensive tackles Josiah Sharma from the Oregon Ducks and Myron Charles from the Florida State Seminoles.
With only a few months remaining before signing day in early December, the Longhorns' staff is still looking for more pieces to add, especially on the defensive side of the ball, in the 2025 class this fall. Texas's key focuses with its efforts on the recruiting trail in the 2025 class this fall are namely at defensive line, linebacker, defensive back, and wide receiver.
Since Texas has so many big visit weekends and is still in communication with multiple top blue-chip recruits at those aforementioned key position groups in the 2025 class this fall, this cycle could still be very fruitful for the Longhorns beyond what they already have committed. Texas is also trending positively for a handful of elite blue-chip recruits in the 2025 class this fall.
Here's a look at two elite recruiting targets for the Longhorns in the 2025 class that Sarkisian and staff are trending for in late September.
