2024 Texas Longhorns sideline gear available now
Quinn Ewers returned to lead the Texas Longhorns into the SEC - and the expectations of the program are as high as they've ever been.
Texas is college football royalty. They've won 31 conference championships and four National Championships. But after lackluster performances from Charlie Strong and Tom Herman as head coach, the team signed Steve Sarkisian.
An offensive-minded guru, Sark took the team from five wins in his first season to 12 wins and a College Football Playoff appearance last season.
While Ewers returns at quarterback, most of his weapons from a season ago are gone. Ja'Tavion Sanders, Xavier Worthy, Adonai Mitchell, Jordan Whittington and Jonathon Brooks have all moved on.
That's tough, but it's not all bad. The good news is that the Longhorns addressed the offense in the transfer portal (Isaiah Bond, Matt Golden, Silas Bolden and Amari Niblack) and return four of five starters along the offensive line.
So, in short, the offense that averaged 36 points per game last season seems to have reloaded.
