3 2025 blue-chip recruits Texas could flip this weekend

It is expected that Texas can flip at least a couple more blue-chip commitments from other P4 schools on the trail this fall in the 2025 class before signing day.

Kevin Wynn, DL (Florida State commit)

Texas is one of the schools most actively involved in the efforts on the recruiting trail trying to flip four-star defensive lineman Kevin Wynn from his Florida State commitment this fall. Kenny Baker and the Longhorns already flipped four-star Port Charlotte (FL) defensive lineman Myron Charles from Florida State this fall in the 2025 class.

Wynn is the second Florida State defensive tackle commit for this cycle that the Longhorns want to get in their class before signing day in December.

The other schools pushing hard to chip away at Wynn's commitment to Florida State this fall are the South Carolina Gamecocks, Georgia, and USC. But this recruitment is probably going to come down to a battle on the trail between Texas and Georgia.

After Florida State struggled early this season, losing their first four games (including two in ACC play), the Noles' 2025 class started to fracture apart. Wynn is one of the key blue-chip prospect commitments that remains for head coach Mike Norvell and Florida State in their 2025 class after the poor start on the field this fall.

But Wynn has made it clear over the past couple of months that he's keeping his options open for his recruitment. He's already taken a gameday visit to Georgia this fall, and he's planning to see Texas for an unofficial trip at least once this season in the SEC.

Wynn told 247Sports that he likes the "development" and depth that Texas is stacking along the interior defensive line in the SEC.
