From the very start of the game, there were no concerns about whether No. 2 Texas football would be able to handle business in Week 3 against the UTSA Roadrunners at DKR under the lights. Texas looked great on both sides of the ball, holding its opponent under two touchdowns for the third week in a row while putting up a 50-spot on UTSA this weekend.

Texas football sees Arch Manning shine after Quinn Ewers' injury in Week 3 win vs. UTSA

On the scoreboard, the Longhorns were a model of consistency, putting up two touchdowns in all four quarters to top the Roadrunners by the final score of 56-7.

In total, the Longhorns put up over 600 total yards of offense while holding the UTSA offense to under 300 total yards for the first time this season. If you remove one long run play that resulted in a touchdown for UTSA, the Longhorns were essentially spotless on defense.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Longhorns were flying high with passing game that was operating seamlessly. Redshirt junior quarterback Quinn Ewers was looking great in command of the Texas offense before he suffered an abdominal injury in the first half.

Ewers finished up with over 150 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and one interception while completing over 80 percent of his pass attempts.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Arch Manning showed why there is so much hype surrounding his talent at the position. Manning rounded out the complete domination of the Roadrunners on Sep. 14 in a 49-point victory at home.

Here are three big overreactions following Texas's 56-7 win over UTSA at DKR in Week 3.

Arch Manning will lead Texas in rushing yards in Week 4

The hype train arrived for Manning at DKR on Saturday night, where he threw for over 200 yards while rushing for over 50 yards, tallying up five total touchdowns and no turnovers in the process. Manning was highly effective after taking the reigns for the Texas offense when Ewers went down with an abdominal injury in the first half.

Manning showed why he can be so dangerous in Sarkisian's offense. He's not just a talented thrower of the football with a good understanding of the concepts and different layers of Sarkisian's offense, he also can make things happen off schedule and with his legs.

We got to see how fast Manning is and how elusive he can be in the open field with an explosive 67-yard touchdown run.

It looks like Arch will be getting the start for the Longhorns in Week 4 against the UL-Monroe Warhawks at home at DKR. Per ESPN's Pete Thamel, Ewers suffered an "abdominal strain" during Saturday's game against UTSA. Ewers is "likely to miss" the ULM game next weekend and is labeled as "week-to-week".

Manning's dual-threat ability could be put on display again next weekend to show the full arsenal of Sarkisian's offense with such a dynamic quarterback leading this unit against ULM.
