Dylan Disu bounces back with his third double-double of the season

Disu wasn't an exception from Texas's offensive struggles in the 12-point first-round victory over Colorado State. He scored a dozen points on 5-of-18 shooting from the field and 0-of-6 from beyond the arc.

In the last two games, Disu has gone ice cold shooting from the field and from beyond the arc. For the first time this season in back-to-back starts, Disu was held to no more than a dozen points. Disu was limited to just 25 percent shootinf from the field and 0-of-2 from deep in the second-round loss in the Big 12 Tournamen to the Kansas State Wildcats last week.

Texas needs a big bounce-back from Disu game if it wants a shot at pulling off the upset of Tennessee in the Round of 32 this weekend. Disu has been Texas's leading scorer since he returned from the foot injury in mid-December.

Players who are natural scorers and can put the ball in the basket in multiple ways from different levels of the floor on offense, such as Disu, usually don't stay down for too long, though. Disu has been able to respond quickly whenever he's consecutively held in check for one or two games on the offensive end.

Texas needs the versatile scoring ability Disu brings to show up against a Tennessee paint defense that ranks among the best in the nation. The Vols led the SEC in points allowed in the paint per game and ranked second in second-chance points allowed per game this season.
