Another elite athlete recruit the Longhorns are hosting for an unofficial visit from the 2025 class this week is San Antonio (TX) Alamo Heights five-star Michael Terry. The No. 1 athlete recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking is making the trip out to Austin for the Texas bash this week before visiting the Oregon Ducks unofficially this upcoming weekend.

Terry is making his second visit out to Austin in as many months after he had a successful official visit to Texas in early June. Texas continues to be a big-time player in this recruitment, and it looks like Terry's decision is likely to come down to the Longhorns and the Ducks at some point late this summer.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers and Texas A&M Aggies are also still fighting it out in third and fourth place behind Texas and Oregon in the race to land Terry after summer official visits.

There is a good chance that Terry could be ready to make his decision within a few weeks after he makes the visits to Texas and Oregon over the next few days. It sounds like Terry could be moving closer to a decision timeline where he could announce before the end of August and the start of his senior season.

I like where Texas stands in this recruitment if they really knock it out of the park with Terry during his visit for the pool party/BBQ bash later this week.
