Rising three-star Ruston (LA) cornerback Aidan Anding has seen his recruitment explode during the spring evaluation period. Since late January, Anding has picked up Power Five offers from the likes of the Miami Hurricanes, Baylor Bears, TCU, Arkansas, Ole Miss Rebels, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, and Texas, among a couple of others.

Anding has become a major priority for Texas's defensive back recruiting efforts in the 2025 class so far this offseason. Not only has Anding received multiple visits at his high school from the Texas coaching staff and picked up an offer in the last few months, but he also had a successful unofficial visit to Austin during spring practice in early April.

Joseph has close ties to Louisiana, and has hit the recruiting trail hard in that state for the last few cycles. He's been recruiting Anding as if he were a high-four or five-star recruit at defensive back.

Horns247 reports (paid content) that Miami is the biggest threat to the Longhorns in this recruitment entering summer official visits. Something to monitor here is Anding's upcoming official visit to Miami this coming weekend to see head coach Mario Cristobal and the Canes.

Miami will try to get Anding to shut down his recruitment while he's on campus in Coral Gables for his official visit from May 31-June 2.

The other official visits Anding is scheduled to take this summer, outside of the ones to Miami and Texas, are to schools that aren't viewed as big-time threats to the Longhorns on the recruiting trail. But we still have to watch to see if anything happens for Anding during his official visits to TCU and then Arkansas in June.

Since Texas gets the final official visit among those Anding has scheduled for this summer, that benefits the Longhorns greatly in this recruitment if he makes it out of the Miami trip uncommitted.
