3 key recruits impressed by Texas's event this weekend
For the second straight weekend, Texas football hosted over a dozen visiting recruits for a big event amid a scrimmage and spring practice. This weekend, Texas hosted fewer visiting recruits from the 2025 and 2026 classes than they did last weekend for Longhorn City Limits.
Texas football has another big visit weekend before the spring game
But head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns still had some important recruits for the next two cycles from various in-state and out-of-state programs on campus for unofficial visits this weekend. Texas continued to clear up the big board at key positions on the recruiting trail in the 2025 and 2026 classes late in spring ball with this big visit weekend.
This was the final visit weekend before the annual Orange-White spring football game at DKR on April 20. Sarkisian and staff will have another big group of visiting recruits on campus for the spring game next weekend. It will possibly be one of the two biggest visit weekends of spring camp.
Here are three key recruits impressed by the Longhorns' recruiting event for the visitors on campus on April 13 and 14.
Jackson Christian, OL
Texas hosted quite a few interesting offensive line prospects from the 2025 and 2026 recruiting classes on campus this weekend. Among the 2025 offers for the Longhorns on campus this weekend was Port Neches-Groves (TX) three-star interior offensive lineman Jackson Christian.
Christian and his family made it out to spring practice at Texas for the first time this offseason for the scrimmage on April 13. Inside Texas reported that Christian had a great visit to Texas this weekend and that he thought the practice had a "lot of energy" on Saturday.
Coming out of the visit to Texas this weekend, Christian mentioned that Texas and the Texas A&M Aggies are the two schools at the top for his recruitment late this spring.
It shows where Christian's at in his recruitment at the moment that he is already set to make a return visit to Texas in a few days for spring practice this coming week.
