Michael Fasusi, OT

The No. 3 offensive tackle recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite, Lewisville (TX) five-star Michael Fasusi, is arguably Texas's top in-state priority along the OL for this cycle. Fasusi officially visits Norman to see veteran OL coach Bill Bedenbaugh and the Sooners this weekend.

Oklahoma was once considered a major player in this recruitment. Bedenbaugh was one of the first Power Five coaches to offer and consistently communicate with Fasusi. But a successful official visit to College Station last weekend to see Texas A&M could've jumped the Aggies past the Sooners in the jostling order for Fasusi's top schools during summer trips.

Texas still appears to hold a slight lead over Texas A&M in the race to land a commitment from Fasusi early this summer.

Unless Oklahoma is able to pull off something huge with Fasusi during his trip to Norman this weekend, I think this will be a classic in-state battle between Texas and Texas A&M on the recruiting trail.

Texas could have its shot to seal the deal in this recruitment for Fasusi once and for all during a critical official visit to Austin from June 21-23. This is another situation where the Longhorns get a massive leg up on the recruiting trail by getting the final official visit with a key in-state priority prospect this summer.
