Among the three official visitors Texas hosts midweek this week, the one that the Longhorns are probably the least likely to get a commitment from is the elite five-star Mission Viejo (CA) cornerback Dijon Lee. The No. 1 recruit from California in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite is making the official visit to Texas midweek despite leaving the Longhorns out of his finalist group earlier this month.

Lee had originally included Texas among his top five finalist schools before summer official visits began a couple of months ago. But he left the Longhorns out of his latest round of finalist school cuts entering his summer visit circut in late May.

The four schools heavily involved in Lee's recruitment are the Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama Crimson Tide, Washington Huskies, and Texas A&M Aggies.

Inside Texas mentions the possibility of Texas playing the long game in this recruitment for Lee. Since Lee is the caliber of cornerback recruit that the Longhorns would recruit through the finish line on signing day, I'd imagine this will be a patient process for the Longhorns.

A couple of SEC schools, Georgia and Alabama, are the leaders in Lee's recruitment entering his last two official visits this week. He's already taken official visits to see Washington (May 31), Texas A&M (June 12), and Georgia (June 14).

Lee will officially visit Tuscaloosa to see Alabama this coming weekend roughly 24 hours after his midweek trip to Austin wraps up on June 20.
