Decision Date: Expected between June 29 and July 1

Texas appears to continue to be in a great spot for the underrated three-star Ruston (LA) cornerback Aidan Anding entering what could be a looming announcement for him in the next few days. It was originally expected that Anding would announce a decision around June 29 or 30.

On Texas Football's Gerry Hamilton reported on June 28 (premium content) that Anding is likely to announce on July 1.

Anding is one of Texas's top out-of-state cornerback targets in the 2025 class this summer. Texas is the presumed frontrunner in this recruitment ahead of the Miami Hurricanes in second place and the Arkansas Razorbacks still hanging around in third.

This looks like Texas's recruitment to lose after Anding had a successful official visit to Austin last weekend (June 21-23). Miami is probably the only school that could challenge the Longhorns to win Anding's commitment at this point of the offseason. But it sounds like it would take a major shift in momentum here to unseat Texas as the favorite.

Texas already has one cornerback committed to the 2025 class this summer, Missouri City (TX) Fort Bend Marshall three-star Caleb Chester. Anding is a likely candidate to be the next cornerback target for this cycle to commit to the Longhorns in the next week or so after Chester jumped in a few weeks ago.
