Texas Football will open the inaugural SEC Conference Schedule against the Mississippi State Bulldogs next week. Arch Manning might be the starting quarterback entering conference play if Quinn Ewers needs one more week to heal from his abdominal strain.

Who knows how the Longhorns will do in their first year in the SEC? For all we know, they could run the table and win the SEC Championship this season. Here are four bold predictions for the Longhorns entering SEC play.

Texas Football Bold Predictions: 4. Arch Manning gets an SEC win before Quinn Ewers

Manning could easily earn an SEC win next week against the Mississippi State Bulldogs. As mentioned above, Quinn Ewers could use another week of healing to prepare for the Red River Shootout against the Oklahoma Sooners.

I would be surprised if Texas Longhorns Football Head Coach Steve Sarkisian allowed Ewers to play next week. However, this is Ewers' offense, and if he's ready to play next week, so be it. However, Manning proved last week he can fill in for Ewers.

3. Isaiah Bond ends up the top receiver in the SEC this season

Junior wide receiver Isaiah Bond has been impressive so far this season. He has been a top target on the field for both Texas quarterbacks. I think he could be the best receiver in the SEC by the end of conference play this year.

He can break out and get open downfield, which makes it easier for either quarterback to get rid of the ball. If you watch the highlight below, Bond made a huge completion against the Warhawks last Saturday night. He will make more highlights like that during conference play.

2. Ewers wins the SEC MVP

Ewers is poised to be one of the top quarterbacks in the SEC this season. Even though this is his first season in the SEC, Ewers could end up being the MVP of the conference this year.

Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart will give him a run for his money as he's having a career season this year. Both quarterbacks could end up in the SEC Championship game in Atlanta, Georgia. You never know; Ewers could be the SEC MVP and the Heisman Trophy Winner.

1. Longhorns go undefeated in conference play

My last bold prediction is that the Longhorns could run the table and go undefeated in conference play this season. After researching the schedule, I found that the Longhorns will have back-to-back weeks against ranked SEC teams, Oklahoma and Georgia.

After that, the Longhorns have an easy rest of their schedule. You can't rule out one of those teams pulling off an upset, but based on the strength of the teams, the Longhorns should easily take care of them.
