Troy Huhn, QB

While over a half-dozen quarterbacks will be working out during the Texas Elite Camp in Austin this weekend, there are two big names to watch at the position. It's likely that Sarkisian, QB coach AJ Milwee, and the Longhorns get their first quarterback commitment in the 2025 class during the Elite Camp this weekend.

The first quarterback visitor we're talking about on this list who is on commitment watch for the next few days is the highly touted San Marcos (CA) Mission Hills four-star Troy Huhn. The blue-chip quarterback recruit from California is making his first return trip to Texas since he visited unofficially during spring practice in early April.

We've talked ad nauseam regarding the situation between Texas's top two quarterback priorities in the 2026 class entering summer visits.

To sum it up, the 6-foot-4 and 205-pound Huhn is the more natural pocket passer of the two quarterback prospects the Longhorns have prioritized in the 2026 class. He's got a strong arm and has the ability to touch every blade of grass on the field with his precision and timing on his throws.

If Huhn has the better day of the two priority quarterback prospects working out at the Elite Camp this weekend, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he is the one Sarkisian and Milwee look to take in the 2026 class.
