The only visiting recruit for the Elite Camp this weekend in the 2026 class who doesn't have a Texas offer yet is three-star Pflugerville (TX) tight end Jaivion Martin. Texas has long been the school that would be considered the favorite in this recruitment whenver the offer is officially extending from tight ends coach Jeff Banks and the Longhorns.

I think there's a good chance we'll see Texas throw its hat into the mix in Martin's recruitment if he has a good showing at the Elite Camp this weekend. At the moment, Duncanville (TX) four-star Zachery Turner is the only in-state tight end offer for the Longhorns in the 2026 class.

Martin would be a logical offer for Banks and the Longhorns to extend this weekend, since he is one of the best in-state in the 2026 class at the position and has already drawn some interest from the Texas staff.

This weekend will be the second time in the last couple of months that Martin has made the trip to Texas unofficially. His last visit to Texas was for the spring game at DKR on April 20. Banks also visited Martin at Pflugerville High School during their spring practice a few weeks ago.

Of all the recruits Texas could offer at the Elite Camp this weekend and potentially expect a commitment on the spot, Martin could be one of them in the 2026 class.
