Maalik Murphy, QB (Duke)

Former Texas quarterback Maalik Murphy was one of the premier players available in the transfer portal last offseason. Murphy led Texas to two critical wins in Big 12 play as the starter last season, including a clutch top-25 overtime win at home over the Kansas State Wildcats.

After leading Duke to its first 5-0 start after defeating their biggest in-state rival, the North Carolina Tar Heels in a clutch one-score game last weekend, Murphy has made a massive impact on the Blue Devils this season. Murphy started the season with four straight performances with over 200 passing yards and multiple passing touchdowns.

He was very efficient leading Duke's offense this fall, completing over 60 percent of his pass attempts every game in the first four weeks.

Isaiah Neyor, WR (Nebraska)

Just a couple of years ago, Texas brought in former Wyoming Cowboys transfer wide receiver Isaiah Neyor to be one of the top weapons in the receiving corps for fellow 2022 transfer pickup, quarterback Quinn Ewers from Ohio State. Unfortunately, Neyor's impact on the field was limited due to injuries before his career at Texas was able to officially begin during the 2022 preseason.

Neyor has emerged as a top outside receiver threat for Nebraska Cornhuskers for freshman sensation quarterback Dylan Raiola this fall. He's looked like the receiver Texas fans thought they were getting when the Longhorns brought in Neyor from the transfer portal a couple of years ago.

Neyor leads Nebraska in receiving yards (291) and receiving touchdowns (4).
