Among the three portal additions for the Longhorns at wideout, the only one who will enroll during the summer semester is former Oregon State Beavers senior transfer Silas Bolden. The electric 5-foot-10 and 175-pound versatile playmaker and multi-year starter at Oregon State is another dynamic weapon that Sarkisian added via the portal this offseason.

Bolden can be that versatile skill weapon that Sarkisian and the Longhorns utilize in a way similar to former Texas running back Keilan Robinson. And in some ways, he could be utilized similar to running back Savion Red as a third-down specialist and in short-yardage packages to motion around pre-snap.

Bolden's ability to generate big plays in space and find his way into the end zone makes him a potent fit in Sarkisian's offense. In the last two seasons at Oregon State, Bolden found the end zone over a dozen times and in multiple different phases of the game.

Not only will Bolden make an impact on Texas's offense this upcoming season, but he can also return punts and kicks.

He had multiple rushing and receiving touchdowns in each of the last two seasons. Bolden also returned a punt for a touchdown in 2023. Similar to Keilan, Bolden was a touchdown machine when he touched the ball at Oregon State.

Bolden scored a touchdown on over 10 percent of his touches on offense since 2022, ranking top five among Pac-12 wide receivers in that span.
