Dylan Davis, DB

Rising 2026 Lewisville (TX) cornerback Dylan Davis made his first gameday visit to Austin unofficially to see the Longhorns at DKR for the Colorado State game on Saturday afternoon. Davis made the trip with a handful of other 2026 rising prospects from around the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex for the shutout win over Colorado State over the weekend.

Davis reportedly spent time with Texas cornerbacks coach Terry Joseph during the pregame warm ups on Saturday before the Colorado State kickoff, and he hung out with the other visiting recruits on campus on the sideline for the game.

He also said that the "atmosphere and the fans stood out" to him during the visit on Saturday.

Something that stuck out to me was that Davis said Texas was "the best school" he's seen so far among the four or five FBS trips he's taken in the past six months.

Davis currently holds one FBS offer early in his recruiting process from the North Texas Mean Green.

DeCorian "Deuce" Thompson, ATH

Among the fast-rising 2026 recruits who visited Texas for the Colorado State game over the weekend was the speedy Mount Pleasant (TX) wide receiver/defensive back DeCorian "Deuce" Thompson. The 5-foot-9 and 165-pound athlete made his first gameday trip to Texas to see them shutout Colorado State on Saturday.

Thompson reportedly liked seeing the facilities and the gameday environment and atmosphere with the fans going crazy over the weekend. He said he was impressed by the play of redshirt junior Texas safety Michael Taaffe in the secondary against Colorado State, and how the running backs played in the win.

Thompson's recruitment really started to heat up during the summer when he got a P4 offer from the Kansas State Wildcats. He also holds four other D1 offers, including the UTEP Miners, FCS Tarleton State, and North Texas.
