It was a big weekend for Texas football on the recruiting trail this weekend, as it hosted multiple dozen visiting prospects for the Elite Camp on June 1. Texas had an impressive group of visiting recruits from the 2026 and 2027 classes on campus for the Elite Camp this weekend, resulting in over a dozen offers being extended by the coaching staff in the last 48 hours.

In the 2026 class, head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns staff extended 10 offers. That is more than we usually see the Longhorns do regarding extending actual offers during the Elite Camp weekend. Texas also extended four offers to rising 2027 prospects who worked out at the Elite Camp.

Another one offer was extended to a 2025 SMU Mustangs safety commit who Blake Gideon has targeted on the recruiting trail this spring. But the 2025 offer was sent out separate of the Elite Camp this weekend.

Many (ourselves included) were expecting the Longhorns to potentially land at least one commitment in the 2026 class at the Elite Camp this weekend. But we didn't get a quarterback commit in the 2026 class at the Texas Elite Camp like we did last year with Saraland (AL) four-star KJ Lacey giving his pledge while on campus in Austin at the camp in 2023.

Texas still laid the groundwork, though, for some elite prospects to potentially wind up in the Longhorns class for 2026 in the next year or so.

Here's a look at four key visiting recruits that the Longhorns impressed during the Elite Camp this weekend.
