The other blue-chip out-of-state official visitor for Texas this weekend in the 2025 class among defensive linemen is Port Charlotte (FL) four-star Myron Charles. The big 6-foot-4 and 300-pound defensive lineman from Florida is set to make his second trip to Austin in the last three months for his official on June 7.

Charles last visited Texas during spring practice in early April. Texas did a good job making up a lot of ground in this recruitment during Charles' spring visit a couple of months ago.

Florida State is still reportedly considered the overwhelming favorite in the race to land a commitment from Charles this summer. But Texas is probably the school most well positioned to close the gap at least somewhat on Florida State during summer official visits.

Charles has already officially visited Florida (May 31). He also has official visits scheduled to see the Miami Hurricanes (June 14) and Florida State (June 21) in the two weekends following his trip to Texas on June 7.

Baker and the Longhorns will be looking to swing the momentum in their favor in multiple out-of-state defensive line recruitments this weekend, since Charles is another one of those touted priority prospects Texas really likes here.
