Texas Football returns to the gridiron this weekend. They will take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs in their first-ever SEC Conference game. It will be unique to watch on Saturday afternoon as the Longhorns prove to the conference that they belong within the SEC ranks.

However, the Longhorns could be without one of their best players on their roster for the game. Quinn Ewers could be benched due to the abdominal injury he sustained against the UTSA Roadrunners.

It won't really matter since the Longhorns have Arch Manning, and he's done well the past couple of weeks leading the Longhorns' offense down the field. As of now, the Longhorns are favored by more than 35 points this weekend.

That means the Longhorns should take care of business as usual against the Bulldogs. Let's look at the four reasons why the Longhorns should beat the Bulldogs and pick up their first-ever SEC Conference football victory.

Why Texas football will defeat Mississippi State: 4. No-huddle offense

I watched the Mississippi State Bulldogs take on the Florida Gators last weekend, and the Bulldogs were not prepared for an uptempo offense. I expect the Longhorns to run a no-huddle offense against the Bulldogs to prevent them from changing their defense.

You could tell that the Bulldogs' defense wasn't ready for it, and I'm sure the Longhorns will do the same this week. Arch Manning is a fantastic QB and should have no issue running a no-huddle offense.

3. Running back committee

The Longhorns also did an excellent job of running the ball against the UL-Monroe Warhawks last week. They scored multiple rushing touchdowns against the Warhawks' defense. Don't be surprised if the Longhorns return to the ground again this week to keep the Bulldogs on their toes.

Jaydon Blue and Jerrick Gibson should receive many reps this week. I wouldn't be surprised if the Longhorns visited them in the red zone this week.

2. Air raid

The Longhorns have one of the best-receiving cores in the country, and they should be a factor against the Bulldogs this weekend. Isaiah Bond could be one of the top SEC wideouts this season, as he's one of the top targets for both Ewers and Manning. If the Bulldogs can shut down Bond, they have four more targets to throw at. I expect the Longhorns will be heavy with the passing in the no-huddle offense this week.

1. Defense wins championships

Another thing that I saw last week in the Bulldogs vs. Gators game was how slow the Bulldogs' quarterback was throwing the ball. He tried throwing a couple of wide receiver screens, and two of them could have easily been pick sixes.

The Longhorns have a very aggressive defense and could easily pick the Bulldogs off this week. Don't be surprised if the defense has a couple of TDs by the end of the game. It's the final reason why the Longhorns should have their first SEC win this weekend.
