The receiving corps for the Longhorns reportedly had a better performance for the first and second-team offenses in today's fall scrimmage than the running backs. A handful of Texas wide receivers had touchdown catches, including junior Matthew Golden and senior Silas Bolden.

OTF reported that Bolden had the "catch of the day" in this scrimmage. Bolden made a nice diving catch when he was blanketed in pass coverage by the opposing defensive back and hauled in the football "parallel to the ground".

Bolden has been making impressive catch after impressive catch in team drills and scrimmage settings in fall camp in the last couple of weeks. He's been a natural running routes at different levels of the field on offense, and has as good of speed and elusiveness as anyone out in space at the skill positions for the Longhorns.

Texas's receiving corps had a pretty solid day in the first fall scrimmage as Sarkisian and Chris Jackson rotated through the first and second-teamers at wideout today. We also heard about junior wide receiver Isaiah Bond, true freshman Ryan Wingo, and sophomore Johntay Cook II making some very nice catches in the scrimmage.
