Lacey reportedly arrived at Auburn for his unofficial visit on March 30.

Auburn is one of a handful of schools that are still recruiting Lacey early this offseason, despite his commitment to Texas. The other schools that are trying to chip away at Lacey's commitment to the Longhorns this spring are the Ole Miss Rebels and Oregon Ducks.

Lacey is reportedly the top quarterback target on the recruiting trail in the 2025 class for head coach Hugh Freeze and the Tigers.

While he is still visiting other schools that are pursuing him on the trail this offseason, Lacey has reaffirmed his commitment to Texas multiple times in the last few months. He told On3 that Texas is "where I want to be at and that's where I'm going".

Lacey was on campus at Texas last week and on Monday to see the Longhorns spring practice amid his impressive showing at the Elite 11 Regional camp in Austin.

The blue-chip quarterback from Alabama also has an official visit set to see Texas from June 21 to 23.

Texas kicking the tires on 4-Star SMU QB commit Keelon Russell this spring

Lacey has remained the Longhorns only quarterback commit in the 2025 class since he initially announced his pledge in early June of last year. But head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns have taken more interest lately in the idea of taking a second quarterback commit in the 2025 class with how fast four-star Duncanville QB Keelon Russell's stock has risen on the recruiting trail early this offseason.

Texas has yet to officially offer Russell. But he is on offer watch with a key April 20 spring game visit looming for Russell to see Texas for the first time this offseason.
