4-Star Texas WR target Andrew Marsh sets commitment date

Per On3's Hayes Fawcett, high-four-star Texas football target and Fulshear (TX) Katy Jordan wide receiver Andrew Marsh will announce on Aug. 20.

4-Star WR Andrew Marsh includes Texas football among his five finalists

Marsh will decide between five finalist schools when he announces in a couple of weeks, including the Michigan Wolverines, Washington Huskies, USC Trojans, Colorado Buffaloes, and Texas.

He's taken official visits to four out of the five schools he named as finalists for his Aug. 20 decision date. Texas received an official visit from Marsh in mid-June. He also took June official visits to Michigan and USC.

Colorado is the only school among his five finalists that he hasn't visited this offseason (officially or unofficially).

Marsh has been a consistent in-state blue-chip target on the recruiting trail for Steve Sarkisian, Chris Jackson, and the Longhorns in the class of 2025 since last offseason. He's watched the Longhorns for a long time now. And it's the closest school to home for him among his finalists, which consists of four out-of-state programs.

"Texas is the home school. That’s the school that’s close to me. A school I’ve been watching for a very long time. And just the history they have with quarterback and receiver play is somewhere I feel I can get developed and get to the league."

Michigan has been the trendy pick in this recruitment late this summer. The Wolverines have been consistently pushing the hardest in the race to land Marsh's commitment since summer official visits in May and June.

Wide receiver recruiting remains a big focal point for Texas in the 2025 class in August

Texas landed its first wide receiver commitment in the 2025 class on Aug. 7, with Sachse (TX) five-star Kaliq Lockett giving his pledge to the Longhorns over the likes of the Florida State Seminoles and Alabama Crimson Tide.

Sarkisian, Jackson, and the Longhorns are also targeting five-star Jacksonville (FL) Mandarin wide receiver Jaime Ffrench in the 2025 class at this position, who is scheduled to announce on Aug. 30.
