Aaron Butler, WR

The wide receiver room for the Longhorns is probably the deepest and most talented that they've had in the four years under Sarkisian as the head coach of the program. Texas has 10 scholarship wide receivers on the roster this fall. Six of those wideouts will probably see the field regularly in the receiver rotation for Sarkisian and Chris Jackson this regular season.

True freshmen Aaron Butler and Parker Livingstone could see the field for live-game action in limited spurts late in games in garbage time this season. Between Butler and Livingstone, they could both use more development with their route running and comfort levels blocking in this offense for Texas.

Butler specifically has a very bright future in Texas's offense, but he still needs more time to develop at wideout for the Longhorns.

Freddie Dubose, WR

The reason why I didn't mention true freshman Freddie Dubose Jr.'s name with the other true freshmen wideouts on this list is due to the injury situation with him from high school from his senior campaign. Dubose's practice reps at wideout in team drills and the two fall scrimmages in the past few weeks in training camp were limited.

Inside Texas reports that Dubose is still up to this point rehabbing his knee where he suffered a torn ligament that ended his senior season in high school last year. While Dubose rehabs and gets his full motion and range back at wideout, the Longhorns have the luxury of having more than enough depth to spread around the other practice reps and be patient with the development of all these true freshman talented guys in the receiving corps.
