Emaree Winston, TE (Texas commit)

Texas had quite a few blue-chip commitments from the 2025 recruiting class visiting campus over the weekend for the win over UTSA at DKR. Both of Texas's tight end commits in the 2025 class, including Georgia four-star Emaree Winston and Texas four-star Nick Townsend, visited Austin unofficially for the UTSA game on Saturday.

Winston said after the game that he was impressed by the play of redshirt freshman quarterback Arch Manning, who totaled five touchdowns in relief of starter Quinn Ewers after he suffered an injury in the first half against UTSA. He also liked getting to see senior tight end Gunnar Helm involved in the game in so many ways in the win over UTSA.

Elijah "Bo" Barnes, LB (Texas commit)

The new No. 1 linebacker recruit in the nation in the 2025 class, according to On3, was on campus over the weekend for the UTSA game at DKR. Newly-minted high-four-star Dallas (TX) Skyline linebacker and Texas commit Elijah "Bo" Barnes made his first gameday trip unofficially to Texas this fall for the win over UTSA last weekend.

After the win over UTSA, Barnes said he "loved the way they fought through adversity" and that it was a "great win for my squad". He liked the way that the team "banded together" and utilized their depth to handily defeat UTSA.

Barnes is expected to make it back to Texas for at least one or two more gameday trips this fall during SEC play at DKR.
