Texas has made a big push on the recruiting trail with a recent defensive back offer in the 2025 class entering the spring. Rising four-star Missouri City (TX) Hightower safety Kade Phillips has seen his relationship with Texas grow quickly in the last few weeks since the Longhorns officially offered him on Feb. 18.

Texas likes what they see from Phillips at the safety position. The 6-foot-2 and 170-pound defensive back from southeast Texas is extremely gifted physically and has the type of versatility the Longhorns are looking for from top secondary prospects on the recruiting trail.

It didn't take long for Texas to schedule an official visit with Phillips after they offered him almost one month ago. Phillips will officially visit Texas during the big late-June visit weekend (specifically June 21-23).

He will also take official visits in the late spring and summer to see the Baylor Bears (April 28), Texas A&M (June 7-9), and LSU (June 14-16).

The next time Phillips will see Texas will be for an unofficial visit during spring practice (April 6). That early-April spring trip to Austin will be Phillips' first time seeing Texas since the Longhorns offered him last month.
