Texas football has one of the biggest official visit weekends of the offseason upcoming
Among the 16 official visitors who will be on campus this weekend, many are top blue-chip priorities at key positions on each side of the ball in the 2025 class. Wide receiver, linebacker, offensive line, and edge rusher are some big position groups to watch during this official visit weekend for the Longhorns.
Texas also hosts multiple 2025 commitments for their official visits this weekend. With at least one recruitment among Texas's commitments in the 2025 class still up in the air for the June 14-16 official visitors, it is also important to follow the status of those prospects on campus over the next few days.
Here's a look at the five most important official visitors for the Longhorns from June 14-16.
John Mills, OL
Texas and offensive line coach Kyle Flood have been on a roll with OL recruiting in the 2025 class in the last couple of months. Since May 13, Texas has landed three offensive line commitments, including the Coleman brothers.
Three-star San Francisco (CA) St. Ignatius College Prep interior offensive lineman John Mills is making his second trip to Texas in the last three months for his official visit this weekend. Mills has already visited Texas three times this offseason, which says a lot about how he feels about Texas at this point of his recruitment given the longer travel distance between Austin, TX, and Northern California.
Texas is battling the Washington Huskies for Mills. Flood and the Longhorns get the final official visit before Mills is expected to make his decision. If Texas knocks it out of the park this weekend with Mills, he could end up being the fourth offensive linemen to commit to the Longhorns in the 2025 class within the next couple of months.
