Michael Fasusi, OT

Arguably the most important official visitor for the Longhorns this weekend is the elite five-star Lewisville (TX) offensive tackle Michael Fasusi. The No. 3 offensive tackle recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking is making his first trip back to Texas since spring practice a couple of months ago for his official starting tomorrow.

Fasusi is easily Texas's top offensive line priority in the 2025 class. This is a big weekend for offensive line coach/offensive coordinator Kyle Flood and the Longhorns to start closing in on a commitment from Fasusi.

After having seen the Mizzou Tigers (May 31), Texas A&M (June 6), the Oklahoma Sooners (June 14), and Oregon Ducks (June 18) in the last few weeks, Texas gets the final official visit with Fasusi. A decision is expected from Fasusi before the start of his senior season.

Texas is mainly battling Texas A&M and Oklahoma in this recruitment, with Mizzou still having an outside shot among the out-of-state schools Fasusi has officially visited this summer.

Nick Townsend, TE

Texas's top priority among uncommitted tight end recruits in the 2025 class this summer is the highly touted Spring (TX) Dekaney four-star Nick Townsend. The big 6-foot-4 and 235-pound athlete/tight end recruit from the Houston area is down to Texas, Texas A&M, and the Alabama Crimson Tide early this summer.

Townsend officially visited Alabama (June 7) and Texas A&M (June 14) in the last two weekends. Alabama made a really big impression on Townsend during his trip to Tuscaloosa a couple of weeks ago.

Jeff Banks has done a nice job in this recruitment in the last few months. But it will take a big effort for Texas to overtake Alabama in the race to land a commitment from Townsend.
