Jaime Ffrench, WR

The headliner among the wide receiver official visitors this weekend is the elite Jacksonville (FL) Mandarin five-star Jaime Ffrench. The No. 4 wide receiver recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking is making his final official visit this weekend to see the Longhorns.

Texas was the leader in Ffrench's recruitment coming out of spring visits. But Ffrench took back his statements where he said Texas was his No. 1 school when he narrowed down his list of top options last month at the On3 Elite Series.

It sounds like the Tennessee Volunteers, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Miami Hurricanes are the top competition for Texas in the race to land Ffrench's commitment. A late-summer decision is expected from Ffrench.

OTF's Gerry Hamilton reports that Tennessee could likely emerge as Texas's top competition for Ffrench late this summer.

Kaliq Lockett, WR

The other five-star wide receiver recruit official visiting Texas this weekend is the Sachse (TX) product Kaliq Lockett. Texas has made a big push for Lockett among a trio of top wide receiver priorities in the 2025 class since early in the spring this offseason.

Getting the trio of top wideout priorities including Lockett, Ffrench, and Duncanville (TX) five-star Dakorien Moore is the best-case scenario in wide receiver recruiting for Chris Jackson and the Longhorns in the 2025 class.

Lockett has already taken official visits to see the LSU Tigers (May 31), Texas A&M (June 7), Florida State Seminoles (June 14), and Alabama (June 17) this summer. Texas gets the last official visit with him this upcoming weekend.
