The regular season opener against the Colorado State Rams this weekend at DKR in Austin will feature quite a few visiting recruits hosted by Texas football from the 2026 class on Saturday afternoon. Texas is already set to host over a dozen visiting recruits from the 2026 class, along with a handful of 2025 commitments and visiting prospects for this coming weekend.

Most of the visitor list for head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns for the regular season opener this weekend against Colorado State will be prospects from the 2026 cycle. Most of the bigger visit weekends for the Longhorns for the 2025 cycle will be for home games against bigger opponents in SEC play this fall.

It also wouldn't be surprising to see at least a handful of visiting recruits from the 2027 class from in-state show up on campus for gameday visits for the Colorado State game this weekend.

Another noteworthy point here is that the Longhorns staff mostly invited in-state recruits from the 2026 class for the Colorado State as an opportunity to build relationships and let a lot of these rising prospects see the campus and the gameday atmosphere at DKR in Austin.

Here are five of the most important visiting recruits to note from the 2025 and 2026 classes for the Longhorns this weekend for the season opener against Colorado State at DKR.

Jamarion Vincent, DB

The former teammate of Texas defensive backs, freshman Kobe Black and sophomore Jelani McDonald, from Central Texas blue-chip product Jamarion Vincent will make his second trip to Austin in as many months for a gameday visit to see the Longhorns this weekend play against Colorado State. This will be Vincent's first return trip to Texas since he made the visit unofficially for the late July pool party/BBQ bash.

The four-star defensive back from Waco (TX) Connally High School Vincent is already close with Black and McDonald with the Longhorns. They have been recruiting him to Texas since the Longhorns offered him during the Elite Camp in early June.

Texas is recruiting Vincent to play the cornerback position in college. Corners coach Terry Joseph's relationship with Vincent and the communication with former Connally High School teammates Black and McDonald has Texas in a good position in this recruitment early on.
