Per On Texas Football's Gerry Hamilton, the elite five-star Mission Viejo (CA) cornerback Dijon Lee is pushing back his midweek official visit to Texas football one week to June 18-20. Lee was originally scheduled to take a midweek official visit to Texas starting on the evening of June 11 and wrapping up the following day.

Lee's official visit to Texas will now come next week before he takes his final trip in June to see Tuscaloosa and the Alabama Crimson Tide next weekend (starting June 21).

Texas was already fighting an uphill battle in this recruitment before Lee delayed this midweek official visit to Austin. He left Texas out of his top four finalist schools entering his late-June decision date.

Texas coaches still have one more chance to make up some of the gap on the top four schools for Lee during his midweek official visit starting June 18. But it looks like this recruitment is destined to come down to the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama, among Lee's top schools in the southeast.

Lee also has the Washington Huskies and Texas A&M among his top four finalist schools. He's already taken one official visit to see Washington on May 31. Lee's official visit to Texas was originally scheduled to be a couple of days before his trip to College Station to see the Texas A&M Aggies this upcoming weekend.

The last time Lee visited Texas was an unofficial trip during the early-offseason Junior Day in January 2023. He's still reportedly interested in seeing what Texas has to offer him during this official visit next week. Texas coaches have also shown a lot of interest in getting Lee to campus, which is why he's taking this official visit to Austin despite leaving the Longhorns out of his top four.
