5-Star WR Kaliq Lockett locks in Texas football official visit

Five-star wide receiver Kaliq Lockett will see Texas football in late June for the first time since last offseason.

Texas football and head coach Steve Sarkisian are building up another big June official visitor list for this offseason. Mid-to-late June will be a critical time on the recruiting trail in the 2025 class for Texas, as another big-time official visitor schedule a trip to Austin.

Texas football will host 5-Star WR Kaliq Lockett for a late-June official visit

Multiple reports (including 247Sports) indicate that the elite five-star Sachse wide receiver Kaliq Lockett scheduled an official visit to Texas from June 21 to 23.

Lockett also locked in an official visit to see head coach Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans on June 7. The Texas A&M Aggies, LSU Tigers, Penn State Nittany Lions, and Ohio State Buckeyes are reportedly also schools that Lockett will potentially visit officially during the summer or fall.

Lockett has spring visit dates set to see the Florida State Seminoles (March 9), Penn State (March 14), Ohio State (March 23), and LSU (April 12) this spring.

As one of the top prospects in Texas in the 2025 class, Lockett is a high priority on the Longhorns wide receiver big board entering the spring.

The No. 5 wide receiver and No. 6 prospect from Texas in the 247Sports Composite is one of many five-star wideout recruits the Longhorns are prioritizing in-state in this cycle. Texas is also making big pushes for priority five-star in-state wide receivers in the 2025 class this offseason, such as Duncanville's Dakorien Moore and Fulshear (TX) Katy Jordan's Andrew Marsh.

Texas building an elite list of late-June official visitors for this summer

Lockett is one of many elite blue-chip recruits who have scheduled official visits to Texas for this critical weekend of June 21 to 23.

Texas will also host five-star Lewisville (TX) offensive tackle Michael Fasusi, four-star Saraland (AL) quarterback commit KJ Lacey, and Santa Ana (CA) Mater Dei high-four-star wide receiver Marcus Harris for official visits on the weekend of June 21.
