You can’t talk about Texas basketball history without talking about Kevin Durant. Arguably the greatest player to ever grace the Frank Erwin Center, Durant shocked the college basketball world with his tall stature and incredible shooting.
While KD only played one season for Texas, he averaged 25.8 points per game alongside 11.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
Durant was only able to carry his team to the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament but his tournament stats spoke for themselves. In the team’s loss to No. 5 USC in the tourney, Durant brought in 30 points to add to the 27 points from the round before.
His scoring production alone makes him an ideal candidate for Texas’ all-time NCAA Tournament lineup.
