Over 10,000 players have opted in to be a part of EA Sports College Football 25, including many Texas football players. But a report from Orangebloods' Anwar Richardson on March 4 indicates that redshirt freshman Texas quarterback Arch Manning "will not opt into EA Sports College Football 25".

Texas football QB Arch Manning reportedly expected to opt out of EA Sports College Football 25

Richardson reported that Manning has elected to continue to focus on his "on-field development" instead of putting attention on himself in the video game.

Among the many Longhorns players expected to be in the EA Sports College Football 25 video game is redshirt junior starting quarterback Quinn Ewers. Ewers announced on social media a couple of weeks ago that he opted into the video game this year.

Players that opt into the game get $600 and a copy of the EA Sports College Football 25 video game.

There is no official release date announced yet for EA Sports College Football 25. A full reveal is expected for the game in May. And the official release of the game is expected at some point this summer.

The game will feature every one of the 134 FBS teams and has built quite the hype heading into the expected summer release. This will be the first EA Sports college football video game that has come out since NCAA Football 14 was released before the 2013 season. It's been over a decade since the last release of the NCAA Football video game installment.

Manning entering his second season at Texas in 2024

Manning returns to Texas in his second season in the quarterback room under head coach Steve Sarkisian and QB coach AJ Milwee. Last season, Manning saw action in two games, where he completed two of five passing attempts for 30 passing yards.

After the departure of sophomore quarterback Maalik Murphy via the transfer portal early this offseason, Manning is expected to be Texas's backup behind Ewers. Murphy transferred from Texas to Duke during the winter portal window.
