Overall rating projection: 97

Potentially Texas's best overall returning player for the upcoming 2024 season is rising junior offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. The two-time All-Big 12 selection and 2022 USA Today Freshman All-American is a future top five or top 10 pick in the NFL Draft.

Banks is also widely considered one of the top returning offensive lineman in the Power Five in 2024.

In his first two seasons as Texas's starting left tackle, Banks led the Big 12 in PFF's pass blocking efficiency. He only allowed three sacks and two QB hits over 27 starts in the last two years.

Banks has also emerged as one of the better run-blocking offensive tackles in the Power Five since the start of last season. He was one of the five-highest-graded offensive tackles in run blocking in the Big 12 in 2023.

The 6-foot-4 and 325-pound Banks is an uber-gifted offensive tackle physically. You won't find many offensive tackle prospects for the NFL Draft that move as well as he does and block with the type of power and leverage that he does in pass pro.

The development of the run-blocking part of Banks' game means that he should easily be rated in the mid-to-upper 90s and be potentially the top offensive tackle in EA Sports College Football 25.
