Every top 2025 recruit committing week who has Texas on their list

The next couple of weeks will be huge for Texas football on the recruiting trail in the 2025 class. Texas has five scheduled commitments among top recruiting targets on the trail for this cycle before the end of the month of August.

Texas football faces a critical stretch of 10 or 14 days on the trail for 2025 in late August

Over the next 10 days or so, the Longhorns will see a potentially class-defining stretch for the 2025 class with how important these upcoming five decisions are. It feels like the Longhorns must land roughly at least half of these five recruits with upcoming announcements in the 2025 class.

Texas currently holds commitments from 16 recruits in the 2025 class and ranks 12th in the nation in the 247Sports Composite class rankings.

If the Longhorns land at least two of the five commitments scheduled for the next two weeks to close out August on the recruiting trail before the start starts, that would put them in a pretty good position for this cycle entering the fall. Getting up to around 18 or 19 commitments at least in the 2025 class entering the fall would also keep the Longhorns on track for another possible top five finish in the national class rankings for this cycle.

It's also noteworthy that there are one or two more potential decisions we're watching for from key targets for Texas in the 2025 class by late August or early September.

However, the bulk of the key decision for the Longhorns in the 2025 class are coming up in the next seven days. All but one of the scheduled commitments will take place by this upcoming Saturday.
