Everything Texas Players Said After Inaugural SEC Win

Texas football’s inaugural win against a conference foe in the SEC was not as pretty as the Longhorns would have liked.
Texas football players to talk to the media after their inaugural SEC win vs. Mississippi State
Texas (5-0, 1-0) outlasted the Mississippi State Bulldogs (1-4, 0-2) 35-13 in what can only be described as a grimy and sloppy welcome to SEC play. Texas turned the ball over three times, committed eight penalties for 65 yards, and held the ball for only 25:03 of game time.
That said, the No. 1 ranked team in the country did what great teams do; they found a way to win.
Texas football has started 5-0 for the second time in as many seasons. It looks to carry that momentum into the bye week before consecutive games against No. 21 Oklahoma and No. 2 Georgia.
Here is everything Texas players said after the Longhorns’ inaugural SEC win.
Arch Manning:
On the support from Coach Sark and Quinn Ewers: "It's truly a blessing to have both of them in the headset. It's been a fun year. I can't wait for this bye week then heading into OU."
On tough coaching from Sark: "That's what it takes to be the best. We're going to keep fighting."
Colin Simmons:
On his first Red River in two weeks: "I mean, they got a good squad this year. A lot of people on that team that I know. I feel like we're going to dominate them."
Tre Wisner:
On his 88-yard performance: "All of this just means the world to be able to go out there and do the things that you love in front of the people that you love."
On the mindset moving forward: "Everything that's next is staying at a steady pace, locking back in on the little details, getting better each day."
DeAndre Moore Jr:
On his blocking: “I would be doing my team a disservice if I didn’t give it my all in the blocking game.”
Jaydon Blue:
On his two fumbles: “I look at it as a learning lesson. When I carry the ball the way I should, I feel pretty unstoppable.”
Jahdae Barron:
Barron said he will start watching OU film tonight in preparation for Red River in two weeks.
