No. 5 Texas softball and head coach Mike White has a busy weekend to begin the 2024 regular season. Texas has four games in the next 48 hours and five in total this weekend in the Stacy Winsberg Tournament in Los Angeles, CA, to open the 2024 campaign.
The Longhorns open the Stacy Winsberg Tournament on Feb. 9 against San Diego at 2:30 p.m. CT at Easton Stadium in Los Angeles.
A little under six hours after the first pitch of the San Diego game, the highly anticipated primetime showdown between Texas and No. 8 UCLA begins.
Texas and UCLA will square off in front of a national television audience on ESPN on Feb. 9.
White and the Longhorns will face San Diego and UCLA twice in as many days this weekend. Each day will pit Texas and San Diego against each other in the afternoon, and then the Longhorns and Bruins will face each other in the evening/night slot.
The final game of the weekend for the Longhorns is not part of the Stacy Winsberg Tournament. Texas faces LMU on the road at Smith Field in Los Angeles on Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. CT to round out this five-game weekend slate.
