How to watch Texas vs. Oklahoma: TV channel, streaming info for WCWS final
The matchup that was building up for what seemed like the entirety of bracket play in the Women's College World Series between No. 1 Texas softball and the No. 2 Oklahoma Sooners has arrived for the final. Texas will face Oklahoma in the Women's College World Series final for the second time in the last three years.
Oklahoma is looking to defend its five straight national championships against the top overall seed in the college softball postseason against the Longhorns starting June 5. When the Longhorns faced the Sooners in Red River in the WCWS final in 2022, Texas was one game away from breaking that streak of Oklahoma national titles.
Texas took the regular season series, winning two of three games, against Oklahoma back in early April. Defeating Oklahoma in that three-game weekend series from April 5-7 played a big role in putting Texas in the position to win the Big 12 regular season title for 2024.
The Longhorns' pitching staff has been spotless up to this point of the Women's College World Series. Teagan Kavan spun two one-hit shutouts in victories over the No. 8 Stanford Cardinal. Mac Morgan also pitched a one-hit shutout in Texas's 4-0 shutout victory over the No. 4 Florida Gators in the second round of the WCWS.
It was a more difficult path for Oklahoma to reach the Women's College World Series compared to the Longhorns journey thus far. Oklahoma was one inning and one run away from falling short of Florida in the Women's College World Series semifinal on June 4, topping the Gators 8-7 in extra innings.
The rematch is here. Here's a look at the TV/streaming information, game time, and betting odds for the opener of the Women's College World Series final between No. 1 Texas and No. 2 Oklahoma at OGE Field at Devon Park in Oklahoma City, OK, on June 5.
