Steve Sarkisian seems to have complete control over the high school-to-college pipeline for elite quarterbacks across the country.

Most recently, five-star quarterback Dia Bell from the 2026 recruiting class committed to Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns.

Bell became just the latest blue-collar QB to commit to the Horns, joining Arch Manning (No. 1 rated QB in the class of 2023), 2024’s four-star Trey Owens, and 2025’s four-star KJ Lacey.

Following Bell’s announcement, Texas fans, players, and coaches shared their excitement over social media:

According to 247Sports, Bell has a composite rating of 99.24 percent, is the No. 2 quarterback in his class, the No. 10 athlete in the class, and the No. 1 athlete coming out of Florida.

When Arch Manning committed to the Horns in 2022, many fans were already referring to Texas as the newest Quarterback University. With the additions of Owens, Lacey, and now Bell, the argument is only further bolstered.

In his sophomore year, Bell was the starting quarterback for his varsity team. He completed 122 passes for 1,929 yards and 20 touchdowns through the air.

Bell also carried the ball for 86 yards and 2 additional touchdowns last season. He has offers from 37 other Division I programs including Oregon, Ohio State, Penn State, and more.

At 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, Bell is already as big as Texas' current starting quarterback Quinn Ewers, and just slightly smaller than Manning.

While Bell is still two years away from joining Sarkisian and the Longhorns on the field, the Eyes of Texas are now upon him.
