This is the second year in a row where the Longhorns were the first school to have multiple running backs selected in the NFL Draft. Brooks was the first running back selected in the 2024 draft.

Last year, Bijan Robinson was the first running back off the board in the draft, selected eighth overall by the Atlanta Falcons in the first round. Roschon Johnson was selected in the fourth round (115th overall) by the Chicago Bears in 2023.

Robinson was a multi-year contributor on offense and special teams for head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns. He started his collegiate career for a few years in Tuscaloosa with the Alabama Crimson Tide before transferring to Texas in 2021.

Texas utilized Robinson's speed and versatility as a rushing and receiving threat out of the backfield. He scored eight percent of the time he touched the ball in his three years at Texas, the highest touchdown percentage of any running back for the Longhorns since 2021.

Robinson registered over 800 total yards from scrimmage and nine total touchdowns for the Longhorns. He scored exactly three total touchdowns in each of those three years.

On special teams, Robinson was a gunner with the coverage units and returned punts and kickoffs. Although, he returned kicks much more often than punts in the last couple of years.

Robinson was explosive as a returner, registering over 900 punt and kick return yards since the start of the 2022 season. He also returned a punt and a kick for a touchdown since 2022.

As a gunner at Texas with the coverage units, Robinson registered over a half dozen combined tackles.

With the Jaguars, Robinson can provide value on special teams with the coverage units and in the return game. He can also give the Jaguars another dynamic weapon to utilize in different ways on offense with limited reps.
