Texas football is getting set for a big spring visit season in the next couple of months. In the last few weeks, Texas's coaching staff has scheduled many high-profile visitors to host on campus during spring ball.

A highly-rated safety that the Longhorns recently scheduled for a spring visit is the elite Olney (MD) Our Good Lady Counsel five-star Faheem Delane. 247Sports reported on Feb. 19 that Texas is one of the many schools Delane plans to visit during the spring.

But the Texas visit is the only one he's actually set a date for this spring. He'll visit Texas on April 13, the week before the Orange-White spring football game on April 20.

The other schools Delane is reportedly planning to visit this spring are the Ohio State Buckeyes, Tennessee Volunteers, LSU Tigers, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Virginia Tech Hokies. His brother, cornerback Manson Delane, plays at Virginia Tech.

Delane also said that he is interested in taking a visit to Boulder this offseason to see the Colorado Buffaloes. He was recently offered by Colorado late last week.

The schools in the mix for Delane that he already visited early this offseason are the Oregon Ducks and Maryland Terrapins.

Texas offered Delane on Jan. 6. The offer put the Longhorns in contention among the eight or 10 schools Delane is realistically considering at this point of his recruitment early this offseason.

The mid-April visit will be the first time that Delane sees Austin since the Longhorns offered him in early January. It will be big for safeties coach Blake Gideon and the Longhorns to make a good first impression on the No. 1 rated safety recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking.
